Accounts Semi Senior / Semi Senior Accountant

Location: Bolton
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, Office-based

The Role

You’ll support a varied portfolio of SME clients with year-end accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts. Ideal if you're part-qualified (AAT, ACA, or ACCA) or qualified by experience and want to develop your skills in a supportive practice environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

• Assist on VAT returns and bookkeeping using cloud software

• Draft management accounts and support client queries

• Liaise with HMRC and other third parties

• Work closely with seniors and managers to meet deadlines

You’ll Need

• At least 2 years’ experience in accountancy practice

• Strong knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks or Sage

• Working towards AAT / ACA / ACCA or qualified by experience

• Good communication skills – you’ll be client facing

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
