Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)

We’re delighted to be supporting a respected, independent Accountancy Practice in Leeds that is continuing to grow its Audit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior who wants to work closely with UK owner-managed businesses and be part of a collaborative, professional, and people-focused firm.

About the Role:

As Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audits for a varied portfolio of clients across the region. You’ll lead fieldwork, supervise junior staff, and report directly to Managers and Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading on-site audits for clients reporting under FRS 102

• Managing the full audit process, from planning to completion

• Supervising and mentoring junior audit team members

• Preparing statutory accounts and supporting documentation

• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support

• Reporting findings and progress to Audit Managers and Partners

• Working with a range of software including Excel, IRIS, Sage, and ProAudit

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)

• Minimum of 2 years’ external audit experience, ideally with UK owner-managed businesses

• At least 12 months leading on-site audits, managing junior staff, and liaising with clients

• Strong experience in statutory accounts preparation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car

• Solid Excel skills; familiarity with ProAudit, IRIS, and SAGE is a bonus
