Family Solicitor

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE) + Bonus

Location: Preston (Hybrid Working Supported)

Experience: 1–5 years’ PQE (Family Law)

Our client’s Family Team in Preston is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to handle a varied caseload of privately funded divorce, financial remedy, and children matters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, growing team with a strong reputation for client care and professional development.

 

The Opportunity

  • Manage a diverse caseload of privately funded family law matters, including divorce, finances, and children work

  • Advise high-net-worth and private clients on complex family law issues

  • Attend court, mediations, and client meetings, preparing detailed notes as required

  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and court applications

  • Progress client work efficiently, keeping clients informed on progress, outcomes, and costs

  • Achieve billing and time-recording targets, supporting the team’s objectives

  • Contribute to business development through networking and building local relationships

  • Work collaboratively within a friendly, expert team

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified solicitor with 1–5 years’ PQE in family law

  • Experience acting for privately funded and HNW clients

  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

  • Excellent IT, organisation, and planning skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach to business development

  • Leadership skills and experience with SOS case management system (desirable)
