An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a forward-thinking, modern accountancy practice supporting ambitious businesses across the UK. You’ll be part of a growing team working with a varied client base, gaining hands-on exposure and clear progression opportunities as the business continues to expand.

The Role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services while developing your technical and client-facing skills. You’ll work closely with senior team members, supporting clients with both day-to-day accounting and longer-term financial insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships

• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting

• Supporting tax compliance including corporation tax, personal tax and VAT

• Cloud-based bookkeeping using Xero and similar platforms

• Liaising with clients to obtain information and answer queries

• Supporting senior accountants with advisory and planning work

• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to process improvements

About You

• AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified (or equivalent experience)

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice

• Confident preparing accounts and supporting tax compliance

• Comfortable using cloud accounting software (Xero experience preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Professional, approachable and confident communicating with clients

• Ambitious and keen to continue progressing your accounting career
