Commercial Property Solicitor (5+ PQE)
Salary: £55,000–£75,000 DOE
Location: North East London

Our client is growing its Commercial Property offering and is looking to hire an experienced solicitor who can run files confidently, build trusted client relationships, and play a key role in the continued expansion of the department. The Role
As a Commercial Property Solicitor, you’ll manage a varied caseload and support the wider team as the department develops.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing your own caseload of commercial property matters from instruction to completion
- Advising clients clearly and commercially, with a strong focus on service and repeat business
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation
- Supporting business development activity and contributing to the growth of the department
- Supervising/mentoring junior team members where appropriate (depending on experience)
Typical Workload
You’ll have exposure to a broad range of matters, which may include:
- Commercial leases (acting for landlords and tenants, renewals and new leases)
- Lease assignments, licences to assign, deeds of variation
- Commercial acquisitions and disposals (freehold/leasehold)
- Development matters (where relevant)
- Landlord and tenant support linked to commercial property transactions
Requirements (Essential)
To be considered, you should have:
- 5+ years’ PQE as a Commercial Property Solicitor
- Strong UK practice experience running commercial property files with minimal supervision
- Demonstrable experience handling leases and commercial transactions end-to-end
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- A client-first approach with confident communication and strong attention to detail
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience supporting or supervising junior colleagues
- Interest in business development and helping grow a department
Location & Working Arrangement
- Romford office-based role (specific hybrid/flex arrangements can be discussed depending on the team’s set-up and your experience)
- Commutable from East London/Essex and surrounding areas
