Real Estate Associate

Location: Leeds

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 plus bonus

Experience: 1+ years’ PQE

If you’re a commercial property lawyer looking to build your career in a high-performing transactional real estate team, this is a great opportunity to join a growing Leeds practice and gain exposure to a broad spread of quality work.

You’ll support on a mix of investment and development matters, landlord and tenant work, and property management, with strong training, early responsibility and clear scope to develop into a well-rounded real estate lawyer.

The Opportunity

This role offers variety, progression and a supportive environment, with the chance to work closely with experienced colleagues and develop strong client relationships.

• Support the sale and purchase of investment property and portfolio transactions

• Advise on investment and property management matters

• Work on landlord and tenant matters and wider commercial property issues

• Assist with development and regeneration projects

• Provide support on the real estate aspects of wider corporate transactions

• Draft clear, legally effective documents and manage matters efficiently

• Build client relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders

• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support senior lawyers on complex transactions

About You

Essential

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales

• At least 1+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property and landlord and tenant law

• Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions

• Good drafting skills and strong attention to detail

• Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities

• Confident communication skills and a client-focused approach

• Enthusiastic about learning, development and taking on responsibility

Desirable

• Experience supporting investment acquisitions and disposals

• Experience with portfolio transactions

• Experience with property management work

• Experience supporting developers and occupiers

• Experience with development and regeneration projects

• Experience supporting corporate transactions with a real estate element
