Commercial Property Associate (2–6 PQE)
Salary: £75,000–£105,000 + bonus
Location: London

If you’re a Commercial Property Solicitor who enjoys a fast-paced, high-quality caseload and wants the chance to take on more responsibility as you progress, this is a standout opportunity with a respected London practice. You’ll work closely with Partners and experienced fee-earners, advising a broad client base on everything from straightforward transactions to complex development and estate matters.
Our client acts for landlords, tenants, developers, funders and investors, as well as individuals, corporates, charities and landowners across sectors including retail, renewable energy, leisure and life sciences. The work is genuinely varied, and the team is known for being pragmatic, solutions-led and trusted by its clients.
The Role: What you’ll be doing
You’ll manage a broad mix of commercial property matters, with exposure to both rural/landed estate work and mainstream commercial property transactions.
Rural property and landed estates (private landowners)
Acting for individuals, trustees and family businesses, including:
- Sales and purchases
- Agricultural tenancies
- Estate management (including easements and covenants)
- Option agreements
- Overage agreements
- Development agreements and conditional contracts (including variation and implementation)
- First registrations
- Property elements arising from private client tax advice
Commercial property (landlord & tenant, investment and finance)
Acting for companies, investors, trustees, charities and an established London estate across office, mixed-use, retail and leisure, including:
- New leases, renewals and licences for consent
- Estate management (including complex advisory work)
- Asset management
- Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
- Real estate finance
- Corporate support linked to property transactions
Collaboration and stakeholder management
- Liaising primarily with Partners and fee-earners in the Commercial Property team
- Working with other departments where matters overlap
Requirements: What we’re looking for
You’ll be well suited to this role if you have:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- 2–6 years’ PQE in Commercial Property (strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
- Demonstrable experience handling a range of matters such as landlord & tenant, acquisitions/disposals, estate/asset management and property finance
- Strong technical drafting skills and the ability to run matters with appropriate supervision

Salary & Benefits
