Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Fee Earner
Location: North Leeds
Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Experience: 2+ years’ experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters
Our client is looking to appoint a Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Fee Earner to support the continued growth of a busy Clinical Negligence department.
This is a great opportunity for a driven, client-focused fee earner who enjoys running matters end-to-end and wants to play a key role in a team that is expanding.
You will handle a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence claims from inception through to settlement, including both pre-litigation and post-litigation matters.
Key tasks will include:
- Managing clinical negligence claims from initial instruction through to settlement
- Running both pre-action and litigated matters
- Working to targets and KPIs while maintaining excellent client care
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- At least 2 years’ experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters
- Excellent understanding of the CPR and the Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes
- Experience managing complex claims from inception to completion
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience working to targets and KPIs
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management
- Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Experience using Proclaim
- Experience training junior staff members
- An interest in supporting marketing and business development activity to help grow the department

Working Hours
