Non-Contentious Construction Senior Associate or Managing Associate
Location: Manchester (Nationwide Collaboration)
Salary: £75,000-£110,000 + Extensive Benefits

Our client, a nationally recognised law firm with 13 UK offices, is seeking an ambitious Construction lawyer with a passion for clean energy and sustainable infrastructure. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside leading Energy Partners, contributing to complex, cutting-edge renewable energy transactions across the UK and Europe.
If you're an experienced Construction lawyer with 5+ years' PQE and a strong interest in clean energy workstreams, this could be your opportunity to drive meaningful change in the renewable energy sector.
About the Role
As a Clean Energy Construction Lawyer, you'll be a key member of a dynamic team supporting innovative renewable energy projects. You'll work with a dedicated team of approximately 90 lawyers across multiple practice areas, handling sophisticated transactions in clean energy infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:

Drafting and negotiating complex clean energy project documentation

Handling transactions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, wind, and hydrogen projects
-
Preparing BESS/Solar Supply Agreements and EPC contracts
-
Drafting Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs)
-
Managing component warranties
-
Supporting clean energy project developments, acquisitions, and disposals

Working with technologies including:

Collaborating with Energy Partners across Bristol, Leeds, and London

Interfacing with world-renowned battery manufacturers and integrators
-
Supporting transactions spanning UK and European markets
-
Contributing to the firm's clean energy growth strategy
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor with minimum 5 years' PQE in Construction/Commercial law

Strong experience in project documentation and contract negotiation

Demonstrable interest in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure

Excellent technical drafting skills

Ability to work on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions

Strong communication and client relationship management skills

Collaborative approach with ability to work across multiple practice areas

Adaptable and proactive mindset

Commercial awareness of renewable energy sector
Desirable:

Specific experience in renewable energy projects

Technical understanding of clean energy technologies

Familiarity with FIDIC, MF/1 contract forms

Experience with battery storage, solar, or wind energy projects

Background in EPC or infrastructure project delivery

Qualifications or additional certifications in energy law or sustainable technologies
