Job Description

Construction Law Partner

Location: Manchester

Salary: £95,000 to £140,000

Experience: Partner level (salary partner with a modest client following)

This is a standout opportunity to join a full service law firm at a genuinely exciting point of growth.

The business is investing heavily in people development and business development, with ambitious plans to expand its footprint across the UK. If you are a Construction partner who enjoys building, leading and shaping a practice, you will find real momentum here.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will take a lead role in growing the Construction offering in Manchester, with the autonomy and trust to make decisions and drive outcomes.

Key parts of the role will include:

  • Advising on a broad range of construction and infrastructure matters, acting for employers, developers, contractors and consultants
  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on construction documentation (including building contracts, professional appointments, warranties and collateral agreements)
  • Advising on project risk, procurement strategy and contract management, with a practical, commercial approach
  • Supporting colleagues across the wider firm, including real estate, corporate and disputes, on construction-related issues
  • Building and strengthening client relationships, with meaningful influence over service delivery
  • Playing an active role in shaping team direction, business development activity and the wider growth strategy
  • Mentoring and developing colleagues, helping to build a high-performing, quality-led culture

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Partner who combines strong technical ability with commercial instinct and a people-first approach.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Partner level experience in Construction law (or a Senior Associate or Legal Director ready for partnership)
  • A modest client following, or a clear and credible plan to build one quickly
  • Strong experience advising businesses, with the confidence to lead client relationships
  • A practical, solutions-led style, with a focus on clarity, efficiency and high quality outcomes
  • The ability to work independently, while enjoying a collaborative, supportive environment

Why Join

This firm is building something with real intent. You will have genuine access to senior leadership and the chance to make an impact quickly.

You can expect:

  • A platform built on autonomy and trust
  • The opportunity to shape the Construction practice and influence wider strategy
  • Strong investment in business development and profile-building
  • A culture that values quality people, quality clients, quality work and quality suppliers
  • A supportive environment where your voice is heard and your progression is backed

What’s On Offer

  • Salary: £95,000 to £140,000 (depending on experience)
  • Bonus and benefits package
  • Hybrid working
  • Significant investment in people development and career progression
  • Ongoing enhancement of the firm’s benefits strategy to ensure it remains competitive across the market

Working Arrangements

Full time preferred. Flexible working and part time arrangements may be considered.
