Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + Advisory Exposure & Career Progression

Are you a Private Client Tax professional looking to move beyond routine compliance work and gain greater exposure to advisory projects?
Our client is a highly regarded and growing professional services firm with a strong reputation for delivering tailored tax advice to individuals, business owners, trusts and estates. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join their Private Client team in Leeds City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to develop their expertise across Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Income Tax Planning, Trusts and Estates, while working within a collaborative environment that actively supports long-term career progression.
The Opportunity: Personal Tax Senior
As part of the Private Client Tax team, you will support a wide range of compliance and advisory assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients across the North East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a portfolio of private client tax assignments
- Assist with the delivery of advisory projects involving:
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
- Inheritance Tax (IHT)
- Income Tax Planning
- Trusts and Estates
- Business Restructuring
- Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT)
- Gather and analyse client information for tax planning and advisory projects
- Liaise with clients, professional advisers and internal service lines
- Support clients with ongoing personal tax compliance obligations
- Identify advisory opportunities within existing client portfolios
- Assist senior tax colleagues with technical research and complex advisory matters
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and identify potential risks and opportunities
- Support client onboarding processes and risk management documentation
About You
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable tax professional who enjoys building relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
Essential Requirements
- ATT or AAT qualified as a minimum
- 2–5 years' UK Practice experience within Private Client Tax
- Strong understanding of:
- Personal Tax Compliance
- Income Tax
- Capital Gains Tax
- Inheritance Tax
- Experience working directly with clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to identify tax planning opportunities from compliance work
- Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple service lines
Desirable Requirements
- CTA studying or qualified
- Experience working with trusts and estates
- Exposure to tax advisory projects
- Full UK Driving Licence

Salary & Benefits Package
Salary
- £35,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE
