Solicitor/Associate – Property Litigation

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits

Experience: 4+ years’ PQE (guideline)

 

If you’re a property litigation solicitor who enjoys technical work, real client contact, and the variety that comes with acting across both commercial and residential disputes, this is a strong opportunity to join a growing specialist team.

This role sits within a recognised Land and Property Dispute Resolution team acting for businesses and individuals across England on the full spectrum of contentious property matters. The team is growing and looking for a solicitor with strong commercial property litigation experience who wants to take ownership of a caseload, support junior colleagues, and play an active role in the team’s continued development.

You’ll be based within commutable distance of Stoke-on-Trent, with travel between Stoke-on-Trent and other locations when required.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing your own caseload under appropriate supervision and delivering an excellent client experience
  • Drafting correspondence and court documents
  • Liaising with the Court, instructing counsel and experts
  • Attending hearings and all-party meetings
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting other team members and supervising junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Developing your expertise as a property litigation specialist
  • Working collaboratively within the team and across the wider firm
  • Promoting the firm’s values internally and externally
  • Contributing to business development and helping grow the team’s profile

 

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals, dilapidations, break clauses, and forfeiture
  • Real property disputes, including restrictive covenants, easements, rights of light, trespass, and possession
  • Property contract claims
  • Negligence disputes involving property professionals

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor
  • Ideally 4+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) within property litigation
  • Strong commercial property litigation experience
  • Exposure across a range of contentious property matters, including real property, landlord and tenant, and contractual disputes
  • Confidence managing a caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and deadline management
  • Clear communication skills and confident client handling
  • Confident IT user
  • Willingness to engage in business development and contribute to team growth
  • Able to travel between Stoke-on-Trent and Stoke-on-Trent when required
