Salary: c.£65,000 + DOE /PQE

Are you a driven Landlord & Tenant specialist looking to advance your career within a highly regarded London property litigation team? Positioned at the forefront of evolving housing legislation—including the Renters' Rights Act—our client is seeking an ambitious solicitor (3–6 PQE) to manage a varied, high-quality contentious caseload. Offering strong career progression, excellent market exposure, and a genuinely supportive firm culture, this role provides an exceptional platform to build long-term value in a dynamic area of law.

The Opportunity

In this key fee-earning position, you will manage end-to-end landlord and tenant disputes for a diverse national and international client base, including property portfolio owners, private landlords, and tenants. Advising on complex possession proceedings, disrepair claims, HMO compliance, and Rent Repayment Orders, you will deliver practical, commercially focused solutions through negotiations, tribunal hearings, and court proceedings. Backed by modern practice infrastructure and experienced partners, you will enjoy direct client contact and a transparent pathway for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–6 years PQE specialising in landlord and tenant or property litigation.

  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive handling of possession claims, unlawful evictions, housing disrepair, deposit/Rent Repayment Order disputes, tenancy breach covenants, and HMO licensing compliance.

  • Legislative & Procedural Knowledge: Deep understanding of current UK housing law, civil procedure rules, and upcoming regulatory reforms (such as the Renters' Rights Act).

  • Client Care & Advocacy: Excellent drafting, negotiation, and court advocacy skills, paired with a clear, commercially minded approach to client management.

Package & Benefits

  • Base Salary: Competitive compensation around £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience and track record).

  • Work-Life Balance: Supportive hybrid working model combining London office presence with flexible working.

  • Progression & Culture: Clear, structured promotion pathways, funded ongoing CPD, and regular professional networking events.

  • Environment: Modern, collaborative team setup offering strong operational and paralegal support.
