Family Solicitor 

Location: Nottinghamshire - New office Opening 

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: NQ or above

Our client is looking to hire a Family Solicitor to support the launch and development of a new office in the Leicestershire or Nottinghamshire area. You’ll be linked to an established office and will receive supervision and guidance from an experienced solicitor, while also having the autonomy to build your confidence and capability over time.

You’ll manage, with appropriate supervision, a private family law caseload and play a part in helping the firm establish a local presence. This will suit someone who is commercially aware, enjoys building relationships, and is happy getting involved in networking and business development alongside fee earning.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a private family law caseload, subject to appropriate supervision

• Advising clients on divorce and dissolution

• Handling financial remedy proceedings

• Dealing with private children matters

• Assisting with non-molestation orders and occupation orders

• Providing case support to a senior colleague based in an established office

• Drafting correspondence, statements, applications and agreements

• Attending client meetings and hearings where appropriate

• Contributing to the launch and development of the new office through networking and business development

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified solicitor (NQ to junior level) or equivalent experience

• Practical private family law experience and confidence progressing matters day to day

• Strong client-care and communication skills

• Clear drafting and good attention to detail

• Organised approach and ability to manage deadlines

• Commercial awareness and willingness to contribute to business development

Working Arrangements
