Solicitor (3-8 PQE) - Crime & Regulatory

Location: Manchester (hybrid)

Salary: £55,000 to £85,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: 3-8 years' PQE

Join a highly regarded Crime and Regulatory team and work on a diverse range of challenging, high-profile matters. This is a strong opportunity for a solicitor who wants real responsibility, varied work, and the chance to develop advocacy and client-handling skills within a supportive team.

You will handle a mixed caseload spanning privately funded criminal defence and regulatory matters. The work is client-facing and fast-moving, with exposure to complex cases and the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues while building your own practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing your own caseload of criminal and regulatory matters

• Representing clients in Magistrates’ Court proceedings

• Supporting on Crown Court matters

• Advising on police station representation and related attendance

• Handling advisory and pre-charge work

• Supporting clients through regulatory investigations and enforcement action

• Advising on professional disciplinary proceedings

• Working on complex and high-profile cases alongside senior team members

• Building strong client relationships through clear, confident advice

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor with 3-8 years’ PQE in criminal law

• Confident managing matters with minimal supervision

• Comfortable appearing before the Magistrates’ Court and supporting Crown Court proceedings

• Strong communication skills and a calm, client-focused approach

• Highly organised, resilient and able to work well under pressure

• Commercially minded and motivated to contribute to team growth

• Experience in regulatory law or professional discipline is helpful but not essential
