The Opportunity

This is an exciting senior-level role for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor with 4+ years PQE ready to manage complex estate administration and succession planning matters. You'll work within a dynamic, supportive team on intellectually stimulating cases whilst receiving mentorship from experienced partners.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Legal Excellence:
• Provide high-quality, proactive legal advice to private clients on estate administration, succession planning, and trusts
• Manage a complex caseload of estate administration matters with appropriate supervision • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service
• Draft Wills, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and estate documentation to the highest standards
 
Technical & Case Management:
• Handle complex estate administration from start to completion
• Advise on succession planning, inheritance tax planning, and trust matters
• Manage files efficiently, preparing reports and documentation for clients
• Undertake relevant searches and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
 
Business Development:
• Achieve personal fee targets and contribute to team success
• Support business development initiatives and help grow the Private Client department
• Enhance the firm's reputation through professional and community activities

Essential Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 4+ years PQE in Private Client law
Demonstrated success in handling complex private client cases with proven track record
Law degree and LPC completion with two-year training contract (or GDL conversion, LPC, and training contract)
Alternatively, relevant CILEX qualification with equivalent experience
 
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in estate administration, succession planning, and trusts
• Excellent knowledge of Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and private client legislation
• Proficiency with case management systems and legal technology
• Outstanding drafting skills for complex private client documentation

• Exceptional client care skills with ability to explain complex matters clearly
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Commercial awareness and business development mindset
• Collaborative team player with supportive approach
