A highly regarded accountancy and business advisory practice is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join its growing Manchester team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing a varied workload across both accounts preparation and audit, while taking ownership of assignments and supporting junior team members.

The Role

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and audit clients

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies and other entities

  • Plan, lead and deliver audit assignments from start to finish

  • Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance

  • Identify audit risks and evaluate internal controls

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing relationships and expectations

  • Support managers and partners with audit planning and client discussions

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit regulations and internal quality procedures

About You

You will ideally have:

  • ACA / ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience)

  • Strong experience in an accountancy practice environment

  • Proven background across both accounts preparation and audit

  • Experience leading audits and reviewing junior staff work

  • Solid knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards

  • Confident client-facing and communication skills

  • A proactive, organised and commercially aware mindset
