Hiring:Audit & Accounts Senior / Semi-Senior
Location: Manchester/ Hybrid

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy firm that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hardworking Audit & Accounts professional with at least 3 years’ experience in practice.
This is a mixed audit and accounts role, offering exposure to a varied client portfolio, including opportunities to work on larger and more complex audits, with clear scope for progression.
The Role
-
End-to-end completion of statutory audits
-
Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, and determining appropriate testing

Leading audits and supervising, delegating, and reviewing the work of trainees
-
Completing and concluding on audit fieldwork

Group audits, including preparation of consolidations

Preparation and submission of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

Preparation of corporation tax returns

Preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly management information

Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards
Experience & Skills Required
-
Minimum 3 years’ practice experience in statutory audit

Proven experience leading audits and supervising junior staff

Strong understanding of audit standards and compliance requirements

Some accounts preparation experience preferred

Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
-
Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively as part of a team
