Family Solicitor/Executive

Location: Crossgates / Chapel Allerton (Leeds)

Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 plus bonus 

Experience: Experienced Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (private family)

 

Our client is recruiting a Family Solicitor/Executive to join its Family team, working across two Leeds branches. This is a privately funded Family role with a varied caseload, strong support, and clear scope to build your profile within a growing, people-first firm.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

You will manage your own caseload of privately funded Family matters, including:

• Divorce and financial remedy work

• Separation matters

• Nuptial agreements

• Children arrangements

• Domestic violence matters

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing matters from initial instruction through to conclusion

• Drafting statements, applications and other court documents

• Handling new client enquiries and providing clear, practical advice

• Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate

• Preparing and maintaining accurate file documentation

• Working with central services to support billing and recovery of fees

• Instructing counsel and experts where required

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate

• Strong experience handling privately funded Family matters

• Excellent client care with a professional, friendly approach

• Strong drafting skills and confidence preparing court documents

• Organised, methodical approach with strong attention to detail

• Ability to prioritise, work at pace and meet deadlines

• Confident IT skills and willingness to learn new systems

• Team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative
