Our client, a well-established accountancy practice in Sheffield, is seeking a Mixed Tax Semi-Senior to join their thriving 11-strong tax team. This role offers an excellent blend of 75% corporate tax and 25% personal tax, providing the perfect opportunity to develop your technical skills across a diverse client portfolio whilst receiving comprehensive support and training.

About the Role

As a Mixed Tax Semi-Senior, you'll work closely with experienced tax partners and managers, gaining valuable exposure to both corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory work. This role offers an ideal platform to build your expertise across tax disciplines whilst working with clients ranging from SMEs to FTSE 100 companies in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• Preparing corporate tax computations and returns under supervision (primary focus – 75%)
• Assisting with corporate tax advisory projects and client queries
• Handling personal tax returns and computations for individuals (25%)
• Supporting senior team members with mixed client portfolio management
• Conducting tax research and technical analysis across both disciplines
• Preparing correspondence and reports for clients
• Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Developing your technical knowledge across corporate and personal tax matters
• Contributing to team projects and initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:
 
Minimum 1–2 years' UK practice experience in taxation
Solid foundation in corporate tax compliance and technical knowledge
Some exposure to personal tax or strong willingness to develop this skillset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office applications
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop across multiple tax disciplines
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Adaptability and willingness to work across varied tax matters
 
Desirable Qualifications:
• ATT qualified or part-qualified, or working towards CTA
• ACCA or ACA part-qualified
• Exposure to both SME and larger corporate clients
• Experience with owner-managed businesses and their directors' personal tax
• Interest in developing broad tax expertise
