Audit Senior

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Clear Progression 

Location: Sheffield (Hybrid Working)

Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking audit team, you’ll take ownership of assignments, build meaningful client relationships, and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services across diverse sectors.

 

The Opportunity

As an Audit Senior, you will lead audits from planning to completion, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients while supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Prepare risk assessments, audit plans, and tailored audit programmes
  • Manage on-site fieldwork and act as the primary client contact
  • Review and supervise work completed by junior team members
  • Ensure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards (UK GAAP, ISA)
  • Draft audit reports and findings for Manager/Director review
  • Contribute to audit quality improvements and internal best practice

 

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)
  • 2–4+ years’ UK practice experience, operating at Audit Senior level
  • Proven track record of leading audits and managing multiple engagements

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards (ISA)
  • Experience with audit software (experience with MyWorkpapers advantageous)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Highly organised with a proactive, quality-driven approach
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the regional network
