Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 DOE

Our client is seeking an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join their Doncaster office, offering a collaborative culture, clear progression opportunities, and flexibility to align the role with your long-term career goals.
The Role: Overview
This is a varied and hands-on position where you will support the delivery of accounts and audit services whilst developing your technical and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Preparation
- Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assist clients with day-to-day accounting queries
- Prepare draft financial statements for review
Audit Support (Where Applicable)
- Assist with audit planning and fieldwork
- Work in line with ISAs (UK) and internal procedures
- Support audit completion and documentation
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare basic tax computations and submissions
- Ensure work is compliant with UK accounting and tax regulations
Client & Team Interaction
- Build strong relationships through clear and proactive communication
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
- Work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality service

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA / ACCA part-qualified or actively studying
- 1–3 years’ UK practice experience in accounts and/or audit
- Experience working with a range of SME clients
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of UK GAAP and basic tax principles
- Exposure to accounts preparation software (e.g. CCH, IRIS, Sage, Xero, or similar)
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
Personal Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks
- Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
- Ambitious with a clear desire to progress your career in practice
