Conveyancing Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer
Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

Our client is expanding its Residential Property team and is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to play a pivotal role in the development of a busy and growing office in the Basildon area. This is a standout opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer who enjoys building relationships, developing business, and working within a collaborative, tech-enabled environment.

The Role – Make an Impact from Day One
As a key member of the residential property team, you will:
- Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients on a range of residential property transactions
- Actively build relationships with estate agents, brokers, and local professionals to drive new business
- Play a central role in developing and expanding the office’s property offering
- Maintain high standards of file management, reporting, and client care
- Ensure compliance with SRA, CQS and internal regulatory standards
- Support internal audits and best practice initiatives
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to a positive team culture
- Collaborate with both office-based and remote colleagues using modern legal technology
About You – What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in residential conveyancing within a UK legal practice
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive
- Proven ability to manage a full and varied caseload independently
- Strong experience in freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity
- Demonstrable track record in business development and client relationship building
- Solid understanding of SRA regulations and CQS accreditation requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
- Confidence in using case management systems and legal technology
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to support and develop junior staff
