Associate – Residential Sales
Location: Manchester (hybrid working)
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 plus bonus and benefits
Experience: Associate level
A great opportunity to join a specialist Residential Sales team focused on plot sales and new build development work nationwide. This role offers high-quality, developer-led work across leasehold and freehold schemes, with a strong mix of technical drafting, client contact and team support.
You will manage a varied caseload of development plot sale matters, working closely with acquisition colleagues and clients to ensure sites are set up correctly for sales, and providing ongoing support through the full sales lifecycle.
The team delivers a comprehensive plot sales service to developer clients, including shared ownership and open market sales, interim and final staircasing, licence to assign applications, lease extensions and buy-back and re-sales. The work is development-led and the team does not act for individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up development sites for plot sales, including preparing precedent documentation and sale packs
- Providing input during acquisitions on title documentation and its compatibility with plot sales
- Drafting sales packs, transfers and leases (including shared ownership leases) for a wide range of developments, including multi-phased and multi-tenure schemes
- Liaising with specialist colleagues for input where needed on specific development arrangements
- Supporting and assisting with supervision of dedicated sales and post-sales teams (paralegals and CILEX-qualified fee earners)
- Managing client relationships and maintaining billing targets
- Contributing to business development, including client presentations, seminars, articles and briefing notes

- Experience handling residential plot sales and new build development work, including leasehold and freehold schemes
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Confident managing a varied caseload and prioritising deadlines
- Comfortable working closely with clients and internal teams to progress matters efficiently
- Collaborative approach and willingness to support and develop junior colleagues
- Commercial mindset and interest in business development
