Location: Central Manchester

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000

Working Pattern: Full-time, Permanent

Experience required: 4-8 years PQE in Corporate Law

 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join a leading full-service law firm with a rich history of providing exceptional legal services to clients across the UK.

Our client is looking to grow their Corporate team and is seeking an experienced solicitor, ideally with 4-8 years PQE, who will add their knowledge and abilities to this expanding department. As part of a national partnership, the firm benefits from significant backing, investment in people and technology, and cross-group collaboration.

You will be based out of either the Sale or Central Manchester offices, gaining exposure to high-quality work with direct access to two very experienced Partners who are keen to see personal development and growth with their colleagues.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Transaction Management:
    • Managing a diverse portfolio of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures
    • Leading deals from inception through to completion
    • Coordinating with other advisers and stakeholders
    • Ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and to the highest standard
  • Legal Advisory:
    • Providing high-quality legal advice on a wide range of corporate matters
    • Advising clients on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues
    • Offering strategic guidance on complex corporate structures
    • Keeping up to date with changes in corporate law and regulation
  • Documentation & Negotiation:
    • Drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal documents
    • Preparing share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and ancillary documents
    • Reviewing and advising on commercial contracts
    • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all documentation
  • Client Relationships:
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Providing excellent client care throughout transactions
    • Managing client expectations effectively
    • Identifying opportunities for cross-referrals and business development
  • Technical Excellence:
    • Demonstrating technical strength with an eye for detail
    • Conducting thorough data checking and inputting
    • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
    • Working collaboratively with Partners and colleagues

 

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 4-8 years PQE in Corporate Law
    • Proven experience managing corporate transactions including M&A, disposals, and joint ventures
    • Strong track record of successful deal completions
    • Experience advising on corporate governance and compliance matters
  • Excellent client care skills
  • Technically strong with an eye for detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Reliable and organised
  • Able to work in a busy environment
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with private equity transactions
  • Knowledge of specific sectors or industries
  • Interest in business development
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
