Corporate/Commercial Partner

Location: Manchester

Salary: £110,000 to £160,000 (plus bonus)

Experience: Senior corporate/commercial lawyer with a following and the ability to build a team

 

If you’re a corporate/commercial lawyer who wants the autonomy to shape your practice, build a team around you, and properly tap into the Manchester market, this is a strong Partner opportunity with backing to grow and shape the team.

Our client already has an established corporate/commercial presence across Leeds and Liverpool. They are now looking to strengthen the Manchester offering with a Partner who can grow the practice locally.

You’ll have flexibility around the mix of corporate and commercial work you focus on, and you’ll be supported to recruit as the practice grows.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and growing the corporate/commercial offering in Manchester

• Building and maintaining a client following, developing new relationships and strengthening existing ones

• Shaping the service line, including the type of work you focus on and how the team is built

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Leeds and Liverpool as part of a wider team

• Supporting recruitment activity as the practice expands, including mentoring and developing new joiners

• Contributing to business development and market-facing activity to raise the firm’s profile in Manchester

 

What We’re Looking For

• Strong corporate and/or commercial experience at a senior level, with the credibility to lead a practice

• A following and a track record of generating work in the Manchester market (or the ability to build it quickly)

• Commercial mindset and confidence in business development

• Leadership capability, including the ability to recruit, mentor and develop a team

• Collaborative approach and comfort working across offices when needed
