Senior Accountant  

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Location: Cheshire

 

Are you an ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to advance your career with a progressive accountancy practice? We're working with an established firm in Sandbach seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team with exceptional long-term career prospects.

 

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies and sole traders

• Managing year-end processes and compliance requirements • Handling VAT returns and quarterly management accounts

• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns

• Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors

• Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work • Building client relationships and providing technical advice

• Assisting with business advisory services and planning

• Managing your own portfolio of clients across various sectors

• Developing strategic business initiatives and practice development

 

What we're looking for:

• ACCA qualified or part-qualified (minimum 2 years into studies)

• 3+ years UK accountancy practice experience • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and tax legislation

• Experience with Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software

• Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

• Ambitious professional with leadership aspirations and business acumen

• Commitment to long-term career development within the practice
