Job Description

Commercial Property Associate (4+ PQE)

Location: London

Salary: £75,000 – £100,000 DOE/PQE

Are you a dynamic Commercial Property lawyer looking for high-quality work, direct client access, and a clear path to partnership within an entrepreneurial London practice?

The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded, technologically excellent law firm situated in the heart of London. Due to strategic growth, they are seeking an ambitious Associate (4+ PQE) to join their collaborative team. You will have the unique opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and build trusted relationships with a high-calibre client base, including high-net-worth individuals, developers, investors, and luxury retail brands, all while receiving dedicated Partner support. This isn't just a fee-earning role; it is a chance to play a significant part in the firm’s future success and progress to the highest levels.

Your Role and Focus

You will take a proactive approach to a wide range of commercial property transactions, from inception to completion.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading on commercial acquisitions and disposals.

    • Handling all aspects of landlord and tenant matters, including lease negotiations.

    • Advising on property finance transactions for both lenders and borrowers.

    • Providing essential commercial property support for corporate acquisitions, disposals, and restructurings.

    • Managing diverse asset management work for established portfolios.

Our Specific Requirements

This role requires a dedicated and technically gifted Commercial Property specialist.

  • Essential Experience & Technical Skills:

    • A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) specializing in Commercial Property.

    • Previous experience gained at a respected City, West End, or top-tier regional law firm.

    • Strong technical skills and demonstrable experience across the entire transaction lifecycle for acquisitions, disposals, L&T, and property finance.

    • Proven ability to manage a busy, experience-appropriate caseload independently with minimal supervision.

    • Experience acting for developers, investors, or high-net-worth individuals is advantageous.

  • Aptitude and Ambition:

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to advise sophisticated clients.

    • A collaborative, team-led approach and a genuine interest in business development and practice growth.

    • A proactive, commercial mindset with a reliable billing record and a commitment to exceptional client service.

What they Offer – beyond just Hybrid Working

You will join a firm that genuinely supports and encourages professional development and work-life balance.

  • Package & Progression:

    • A competitive base salary ranging from £75,000 to £100,000+ (dependent on experience/PQE).

    • Clear and structured pathways for progression to Senior Associate and Partnership.

    • Performance-related bonus scheme with reliable billing.

    • Dedicated funding for ongoing professional development and training.

    • Access to an established business development budget for practice building.

    • Regular firm social and networking events.

  • Work Arrangements & Culture:

    • A modern, well-connected London office environment.

    • Supported hybrid and flexible working arrangements that respect autonomy.

    • A highly collaborative and supportive firm culture built on collaboration and team success.
