Accounts Semi-Senior

Location: Blackpool Area

Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 + Funded Study Support & Progression

Our client is a leading accountancy practice with a strong presence in the Blackpool area. Known for their forward-thinking client service, modern workflows, and supportive team culture, they are looking for a dedicated practice candidate to join their expanding accounts team.

The Opportunity

In this dynamic role, you will play a central part in supporting senior team members and partners, taking ownership of accounts preparation for a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Benefiting from direct mentorship and modern cloud technology, you will handle end-to-end accounting processes while receiving comprehensive support to complete your professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 2–3 years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential). Part-qualified AAT, ACCA, or ACA (or actively studying towards qualification).

• Technical Accounting: Proven experience in preparing year-end accounts, statutory financial statements, sole trader and partnership accounts, and handling personal/corporation tax computations.

• Tax & Compliance Support: Hands-on expertise assisting with VAT returns, CIS returns, corporation tax, and basic payroll tasks.

• Software & Systems: Strong proficiency in modern bookkeeping software, cloud accounting platforms, and MS Excel.

• Client Service: Excellent communication skills, with a professional and proactive approach to managing client queries and maintaining high service standards.

Package & Benefits

• Base Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualification stage, aligned with Lancashire practice market rates).
