The Opportunity
Our client’s Corporate & Commercial team is on a strong growth trajectory and plays a central role in the firm’s future strategy. Working alongside specialist teams including Commercial Property, Employment and Dispute Resolution, you will deliver holistic, commercially focused advice to a diverse client base.
This role offers significant responsibility, strong client exposure, and a clear pathway towards seniority and leadership.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Core Corporate & Commercial Work
- Share acquisitions and disposals
- Business and asset sales/purchases
- Drafting and advising on shareholders’ agreements and corporate governance
- Advising on company law, partnerships, and LLP structures
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Corporate reorganisations and restructuring
- Joint ventures and strategic partnerships
- Banking, finance, and loan agreements
- Insolvency and restructuring transactions
Additional Exposure
- Charities and not-for-profit sector work
- Non-contentious commercial property transactions
- Cross-departmental advisory on multi-disciplinary matters
Your Clients
You will work closely with a broad and high-quality client base, including:
- Ambitious SMEs and scaling businesses
- Owner-managed companies
- Lending institutions and financial organisations
- Property investors and developers
- Housing associations
- High-net-worth individuals
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years’ PQE in Corporate & Commercial law
- Strong UK private practice experience
- Proven ability to manage complex transactional caseloads independently
- Solid technical expertise across corporate transactions and commercial contracts
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
- Interest in business development and networking activities
- Exposure to charities, property-related transactions, or multi-disciplinary work
- Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to client growth
