The Opportunity

Our client’s Corporate & Commercial team is on a strong growth trajectory and plays a central role in the firm’s future strategy. Working alongside specialist teams including Commercial Property, Employment and Dispute Resolution, you will deliver holistic, commercially focused advice to a diverse client base.

This role offers significant responsibility, strong client exposure, and a clear pathway towards seniority and leadership.

 

Your Role and Responsibilities

Core Corporate & Commercial Work

• Share acquisitions and disposals
• Business and asset sales/purchases
• Drafting and advising on shareholders’ agreements and corporate governance
• Advising on company law, partnerships, and LLP structures
• Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Corporate reorganisations and restructuring
• Joint ventures and strategic partnerships
• Banking, finance, and loan agreements
• Insolvency and restructuring transactions

Additional Exposure

• Charities and not-for-profit sector work
• Non-contentious commercial property transactions
• Cross-departmental advisory on multi-disciplinary matters

 

Your Clients

You will work closely with a broad and high-quality client base, including:

• Ambitious SMEs and scaling businesses
• Owner-managed companies
• Lending institutions and financial organisations
• Property investors and developers
• Housing associations
• High-net-worth individuals

 

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years’ PQE in Corporate & Commercial law
• Strong UK private practice experience
• Proven ability to manage complex transactional caseloads independently
• Solid technical expertise across corporate transactions and commercial contracts
• Excellent client management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Desirable

• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
• Interest in business development and networking activities
• Exposure to charities, property-related transactions, or multi-disciplinary work
• Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to client growth
