Senior Cloud Accountant 

Location: Blackburn, North West England
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (Flexible/Hybrid working available)

Are you a skilled accounting professional with a passion for cloud-based solutions? Our client's Blackburn office is seeking a Senior Cloud Accountant to lead and grow within our award-winning firm. The Role

As a Senior Cloud Accountant, you will:

  • Oversee and review outsourcing tasks, such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payment runs using cloud-based tools like Xero and Dext.
  • Prepare and review management information, budgets, and cashflows.
  • Lead the preparation of year-end accounts and corporate tax returns.
  • Manage and deliver cloud accounting projects, including system migrations and client health checks.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
  • Provide client training on cloud accounting software and act as a trusted adviser.
  • Support client onboarding and contribute to internal projects to enhance service delivery.
  • Research and implement innovative cloud accounting solutions to add value to client services.

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 5 years of accountancy practice experience.
  • Expertise in Xero and other cloud accounting platforms.
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification (completed or in progress).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and client-focused skills.
