Audit Senior – Liverpool
Well-Established UK Accountancy Practice
Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE + qualifications + interview performance)
We’re hiring for the Audit Team in Liverpool, supporting a growing national practice ranked in the UK’s Top 30.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a minimum of 2 years of UK practice experience. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering high-quality audits, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring excellent service delivery.

The Role

Run on-site audits with responsibility from planning to completion

Allocate tasks to junior staff, setting clear expectations and timescales

Review audit files and ensure standards are met

Draft reports outlining key concerns and audit outcomes

Coach and support junior team members in their development

Build trust with clients, adapting your approach where needed

Work with other departments to create joined-up client solutions

Help maintain a team-focused and knowledge-sharing environment
Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified (or similar qualification)

Strong grounding in UK audit within a practice setting

Awareness of audit risk and compliance requirements

Team leadership and staff mentoring experience

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Current knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS, and IFRS
