Accounting Assistant Manager – Accountancy Practice (North East Leeds)
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
Location: North East Leeds, West Yorkshire (Office based)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We’re supporting a growing accountancy firm as they expand their office North East of Leeds. They are looking for an Accounting Assistant Manager to join their team and take ownership of a varied client portfolio.
What you’ll do:

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate accounting services

Prepare financial statements in line with accounting standards

Produce management accounts and offer financial insights

Support clients with bookkeeping systems including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
-
Identify areas to improve financial processes and make practical recommendations
-
Mentor junior team members, offering day-to-day guidance and development
What they’re looking for:

ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE
-
Previous experience in accountancy practice, including supervising juniors

Strong working knowledge of Xero and other cloud-based systems

Confident in building client relationships and delivering quality service
