Company Commercial Solicitor

Location: Ripon

 

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)

Join a well-established legal practice in Ripon as a Company Commercial Solicitor, where you'll handle a diverse and stimulating caseload of corporate and commercial matters. The Role

You'll be managing a comprehensive caseload of company commercial matters, providing expert legal advice on corporate transactions, commercial agreements, and business law issues. Working with SMEs, established businesses, and entrepreneurs, you'll have the opportunity to handle complex transactions while building strong commercial relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a varied caseload of company commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, supply agreements, and distribution agreements
• Advise on corporate governance, company formations, and restructuring matters
• Manage share purchase agreements, asset purchases, and business sales
• Handle employment law matters including contracts, policies, and tribunal representation
• Provide strategic advice on commercial disputes and contract negotiations
• Conduct due diligence investigations for corporate transactions
• Advise on intellectual property matters, data protection, and regulatory compliance
• Liaise with accountants, corporate finance advisors, and other professional advisors
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and generate new business opportunities

 

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor with company commercial experience (3+ years PQE preferred)
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, and business transactions
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, share deals, and asset purchases
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Understanding of employment law and regulatory compliance matters
• Ability to manage complex transactions and multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Client-focused approach with strong business development skills
• Interest in developing expertise across all company commercial areas
