Dispute Resolution Solicitor / Legal Executive
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: £40,000 to £65,000 plus bonus (depending on experience)
Experience: All levels considered
This is a great opportunity for a dispute resolution solicitor or legal executive to join a well-established, high-quality team in Leeds, with the backing of a supportive environment and the momentum of a growing, forward-thinking firm.
The caseload is mixed and will include both pre-litigation and litigated matters, with a strong focus on property litigation and professional negligence.
The Opportunity
You will handle a varied disputes caseload from inception to conclusion (with appropriate supervision), including:

Pre-action strategy, drafting and negotiation

Issuing and progressing claims through the court process

Advising clients, taking instructions and managing expectations

Managing your own files with accurate time recording and billing

Supporting senior members of the team as needed
What We’re Looking For
Essential
-
Qualified solicitor or legal executive
-
0 to 5 years+ PQE (or equivalent experience) with an interest in litigation
-
Interest and preferably experience in one or more of: litigation, professional negligence, property litigation
-
Confident engaging directly with clients, taking instructions and providing advice
-
Able to run matters from start to finish with good organisation and attention to detail

Familiar with accurate time recording and billing
-
Working knowledge of professional conduct rules relevant to your qualification

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach
Desirable

Experience of property litigation and/or professional negligence matters

Experience handling a busy caseload with competing deadlines
