Hiring: Tax Senior

Location: Bolton/ Hybrid

Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 

A growing, partner-led accountancy firm in the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Senior to strengthen its tax team. This role offers a high level of responsibility, advisory exposure, and a clear pathway for continued progression.

The firm is independently owned, allowing it to prioritise quality, people, and long-term client relationships over short-term targets.

The Role

You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering a mix of compliance and advisory services. The role provides strong exposure to planning, restructuring, and value-adding work, making it ideal for someone who wants to develop commercially as well as technically.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients

• Reviewing tax returns and computations

• Leading and contributing to advisory and planning work

• Building strong client relationships

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

About You

• Proven experience in a tax role within practice

• ATT and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience)

• Strong technical knowledge with advisory capability

• Commercially minded and client-focused

• Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing firm
