Residential Property Solicitor (3+ PQE) OR Legal Exec (10yr Experience)

Location: Near Stockport (Greater Manchester)

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience)

Experience: 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Exec to join an established, local firm with a strong conveyancing offering across the Stockport area. You’ll handle a varied caseload of residential property matters with the support of a close-knit team and a genuinely client-focused approach.

 

The Opportunity

• Run a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion

• Handle a mix of sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity

• Manage freehold and leasehold transactions

• Draft and review contracts, TR1s, reports on title and supporting documentation

• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and third parties to progress matters efficiently

• Deal with exchange and completion, including pre-completion and post-completion formalities

• Ensure files are maintained accurately and in line with firm and regulatory requirements

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales

• 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in residential conveyancing OR 10 yr experience for unqualified

• Proven ability to manage a conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision

• Strong technical knowledge across the conveyancing process (including leasehold)

• Confident communicator with a client-first mindset

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a busy, deadline-driven environment

Desirable

• Experience of more complex residential matters (for example, new build or shared ownership)

• Experience supporting junior colleagues or contributing to team development

 

What’s On Offer

• Salary of £50,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)
