Accounts & Audit Senior (or Strong Semi-Senior)
Salary: £32,000–£42,000 DOE
Location: Manchester Central (Hybrid)

The Opportunity
This is a mixed audit and accounts role with variety across a broad client portfolio, including larger and more complex audits as you progress. You’ll have the autonomy to run work end-to-end, while being backed by a team that invests in development and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities (Audit & Accounts)
- End-to-end completion of statutory audits from planning through to completion
- Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks and designing appropriate testing
- Leading audits on-site, supervising, delegating and reviewing work completed by trainees
- Completing and concluding on audit fieldwork and finalisation
- Supporting on group audits, including consolidations where required
- Preparing and submitting statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparing corporation tax returns (where relevant to your level)
- Producing weekly/monthly/quarterly management information
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you should have:
- 3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience (audit-focused)
- Hands-on statutory audit experience with strong knowledge of audit standards and compliance
- Experience leading audits and supervising junior staff (or clear readiness to step into this)
- Accounts preparation experience (ideal in addition to audit)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- UK GAAP / FRS 102 (beneficial)
- Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent communication, organisation and deadline management skills
Qualifications (preferred, not always essential depending on level):
- Working towards or part-qualified ACA / ACCA (or qualified by experience in practice)

- Working arrangement: Hybrid working with flexibility around office days (role-dependent)
