Commercial Property Lawyer
Location: Clifton Moor, York (hybrid working available)
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000
Experience: Ideally 2+ years’ experience (candidates with less considered)
Our client is looking for a Lawyer with a commercial property focus to join its Clifton Moor office, handling a high quality property caseload.
You will work closely with the Head of Property and have the chance to build relationships with landowners, commercially focused property owners, property developers, house builders and agricultural clients. The work is broad, and support will be available to help you develop in areas where you have less experience.
The Role
You will run matters you are confident in and grow your experience by supporting senior colleagues on more complex transactions.
Transaction types will include:
- Sale and purchase of leasehold and freehold property (commercial and residential)
- Sale and purchase of land subject to conditions (including planning)
- Promotion agreements
- Grant of leases (residential and commercial)
- Development work including site sales and acquisitions, option agreements, overage agreements, planning agreements, infrastructure agreements and plot sales
- Easements
- Secured lending
- Property portfolio financing
You will also work alongside colleagues across the wider Commercial Property team and the Agricultural Property and Company Commercial teams.
What We’re Looking For
- A lawyer with a commercial property focus
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience (but candidates with less experience will be considered)
- Strong client care skills
- Confidence building relationships with clients and contacts
- Comfortable meeting and networking with industry professionals
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn
