The Role: Broad, High-Quality Employment Law Work

As an Employment Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload spanning both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on Employment Tribunal claims, including discrimination, unfair dismissal, and whistleblowing
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements, contracts, and policies
  • Providing HR advisory support to employer clients across multiple sectors
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex restructures, TUPE, and restrictive covenant matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to seminars, workshops, and client training sessions
  • Supporting wider business development and networking initiatives

You will join a highly respected Surrey-based Employment team working closely with colleagues across the wider business services group.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
  • 2–5 years’ PQE in Employment Law
  • Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Employment Tribunal procedure
    • Employment contracts and policies
    • HR advisory work
    • Settlement agreements
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently

Desirable:

  • Experience advising both employers and senior individuals
  • Exposure to TUPE, restructures, or restrictive covenants
  • Interest in business development and client-facing activity
