Private Client Solicitor (5+ PQE)

Salary: £55,000 – £75,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our client’s well-established and highly regarded Private Client team in the Milton Keynes area. This role offers the chance to work on a high-quality and diverse caseload, including HNW matters, within a supportive and progressive environment.

You will play a key role in delivering tailored, client-focused advice, while benefiting from genuine career progression opportunities and a strong team culture.

The Role – Varied & Client-Focused Private Client Work

You will manage a broad caseload of Private Client matters, including:

• Drafting and advising on Wills and Codicils
• Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Handling Probate applications and full estate administration
• Advising on and administering Trusts, including lifetime and post-death arrangements
• Providing Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and estate planning advice
• Assisting elderly and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
• Supporting business development activities and maintaining referrer relationships

About You – Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To be considered, you will demonstrate:

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with circa 5+ years’ PQE
• Strong UK private practice experience in Private Client law
• Proven expertise across Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and Estate Administration
• Sound technical knowledge of IHT, CGT and estate planning
• Experience advising high-net-worth (HNW) clients
• STEP qualification (desirable, not essential)
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
