Audit Senior
Location: Lancaster
Salary: From £35,000 dependent on experience
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday Experience: ACA/ACCA qualified, with 3+ years’ UK practice audit experience
The Opportunity
Due to the strategic expansion of our client’s audit department, they are looking for a technically strong and proactive Audit Senior.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working with owner-managed businesses and wants a role where they can take real ownership of assignments, from planning through to completion.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you will be the lead on-site for a variety of audit engagements. There is flexibility to make this a pure audit role, or a mixed role including accounts and tax production.
- Leading audit assignments, completing fieldwork both remotely and on-site at client premises
- Taking ownership of assignments from planning through to completion
- Supporting more complex work, including group consolidations and statutory financial statement preparation
- Acting as a role model to junior staff, supporting on-the-job training and development
- Working closely with the Audit Manager and senior leadership team, with strong exposure and development opportunities
About you
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- 3+ years’ experience in audit fieldwork within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice
- Solid working knowledge of UK GAAP
- Confident leading an audit on-site and working directly with business owners
- Able to travel to client premises, including occasional overnight stays where required
- Full UK driving licence
