Our client, a highly regarded and growing accountancy firm in the Warrington area, is seeking a motivated Accounts Semi Senior / Accounts Senior to join their expanding team. The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As part of a dynamic accounts team, you will take ownership of a varied workload, supporting clients across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with (or leading, depending on level) audit assignments
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Handling corporation tax computations and returns
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
- Supporting junior team members (for Senior-level candidates)
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who meet the following criteria:
- 2–3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential)
- Currently studying towards, or part-qualified in, ACA or ACCA
- Experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses
- Audit exposure desirable but not essential
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Good understanding of UK financial reporting standards
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
