Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE (Pro Rata Available)

Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Liverpool, is looking to appoint a Tax Semi Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys a mixed tax role and is seeking flexibility, career progression, and greater client responsibility within a collaborative environment.
With a strong leadership structure already in place, this role is ideal for someone ready to step into an intermediate position, gaining exposure to varied work while developing their technical expertise and client management skills.
The Role: Mixed Tax Exposure & Client Responsibility
This is a broad and varied position, offering exposure across both personal and corporate tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for a varied client base
- Assisting with corporation tax computations and filings
- Supporting on tax advisory assignments alongside senior staff
- Managing day-to-day client communications and queries
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Ensuring compliance with current UK tax legislation and deadlines
- Supporting junior team members where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- 2–4 years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential)
- Experience in mixed tax (personal and corporate preferred)
- Currently studying towards, or part-qualified in, ATT / ACA / ACCA
- Solid understanding of UK tax compliance and regulations
- Experience with tax software (e.g. IRIS, CCH) and cloud platforms (e.g. Xero, Sage)
- Strong communication skills with confidence in client-facing work
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
