Senior Audit Senior / Assistant Manager
Salary: £40,000–£55,000 DOE
Location: Bolton (Hybrid) + Clear Progression

The Role: Audit Senior / Assistant Manager
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading audits from planning through to completion for small and medium-sized entities
- Managing complex audit sections (e.g. stock, deferred tax, group structures, related parties)
- Preparing audit plans, analytical reviews, and going concern assessments
- Acting as the main client contact on selected assignments
- Reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
- Supporting senior leadership with KPI delivery and resource planning
- Identifying process improvements and efficiencies
- Contributing to business development and networking activities
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- 3–6+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience within audit
- ACA / ACCA qualified or finalist level
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards (ISA)
- Experience leading audits and reviewing junior work
- Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
- Exposure to owner-managed businesses and SME clients
- Experience handling more complex audit assignments
- Involvement in business development or networking
