Court of Protection Senior Associate (5+ PQE)
Location: Reigate Area
Salary: c£65,000 – £80,000 + DOE/PQE
Are you a dynamic Court of Protection specialist with strong business development acumen looking to step into a key leadership role with a leading regional firm? Our client is a highly regarded, full-service law firm with a prominent presence across Surrey. Recognised for their exceptional client care and progressive working environment, they are seeking an "all-round" Court of Protection Senior Associate to work alongside the Head of Department, manage a high-value caseload, and drive practice growth across the region.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal appointment for an ambitious practitioner who combines top-tier technical skills with a flair for business development and team leadership. Working closely with the Department Head, you will manage a varied, complex portfolio of property and affairs matters while taking an active role in winning new business and expanding referrer networks. Offering structured mentorship, direct exposure to department management, and the support of an established fee-earning team, this role presents an outstanding pathway toward Partner-level progression.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Fellow with 5+ years PQE specializing in Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) within UK private practice.

Technical Expertise: Comprehensive handling of deputyship applications, ongoing deputy management, high-value personal injury trust administration, statutory wills, and gifts/tax planning applications.

Business Development & Practice Growth: Proven track record of generating work, building referrer relationships (financial advisors, care providers, local authorities), and identifying regional business opportunities.

Leadership & Supervision: Experience in supervising or managing junior solicitors, paralegals, and support staff is highly advantageous.
