Commercial Solicitor

Location: North West (hybrid)

Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: Solicitor level

 

If you’re a Commercial Solicitor who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with clients to solve real-world problems, this is a strong opportunity to join a growing Commercial team within a well-established law firm.

This role offers high-quality commercial and technology work, with the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders and play a genuine part in shaping the team as it continues to grow.

You will advise a broad client base, from owner-managed businesses and SMEs through to larger corporate organisations. The work is varied and practical, and you will be encouraged to develop your technical skills, build strong client relationships, and get involved in business development and networking.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements

• Advising on supply, distribution, agency and service contracts

• Providing commercial support on corporate transactions

• Assisting clients with business-to-business arrangements and commercial risk management

• Advising on terms and conditions, trading arrangements and commercial policies

• Advising on and drafting technology agreements including SaaS, PaaS, cloud services and software/application development

• Supporting clients with data protection, data transfers and data compliance matters

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through practical, commercially focused advice

• Playing an active role in business development initiatives and networking activity

 

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor with experience advising on commercial law matters

• Experience across IT/Tech and non-contentious intellectual property matters

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with good attention to detail

• Confident managing a varied workload and providing pragmatic, commercial advice

• Strong client-facing communication skills

• Commercially aware, proactive and solutions-focused approach

• Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to team growth
