Property Litigation, Landlord & Tenant & Lease Extension Solicitor (2+ PQE)

Location: Central London

Salary: £55,000 – £70,000+DOE /PQE

 

Are you an experienced Property Litigation or Landlord & Tenant Solicitor seeking high-value leasehold enfranchisement instructions, low monthly fee targets, and an exceptional uncapped 15% quarterly bonus structure? Our client is a modern, award-winning law firm undergoing rapid expansion, with ambitious plans to double its headcount. They are seeking a commercially minded Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join a partner-led property litigation department based out of their boutique London office handling a varied caseload across lease extensions, tribunal applications, and landlord and tenant disputes.

 

The Opportunity

In this key fee-earning position, you will work within a small, dedicated team providing plain-English legal advice across a broad remit of contentious and non-contentious property matters. Managing your own caseload with minimal supervision, you will handle statutory and non-statutory lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, service charge disputes, First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) applications, residential/commercial possession claims, and boundary disputes. Designed for a lawyer who values autonomy and work-life balance, this role offers direct partner mentorship, flexible 37.5-hour shift options, and dedicated study leave allocation.

 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) with a minimum of 2+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in property litigation, leasehold enfranchisement, or landlord and tenant law.

  • Technical Remit: Proven experience independently managing caseloads involving lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, service charge challenges, First-tier Tribunal applications, commercial/residential possession, forfeiture, boundary disputes, and easement advice.

  • Case Management & Drafting: Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills with the capability to manage files efficiently using digital Legal Case Management Systems (CMS).

  • Client Care & Commerciality: Clear, personable, plain-English communication style with a proactive approach to business development and long-term client retention.

 

Package & Working Structure

  • Competitive Remuneration: £55,000 – £70,000 base salary per annum (commensurate with PQE and location) plus an uncapped quarterly bonus paying

  • Low Fee Targets & Study Support: Low monthly fee targets paired with 1 day allocated to study per week (subject to terms) to support ongoing specialist development.
