Personal Tax Senior
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000+ DOE
Are you an ambitious Private Client Tax professional seeking to transition into high-value tax advisory, work with prominent Yorkshire business owners, and step into a transparent progression pathway? Our client is a rapidly expanding, high-growth accountancy and advisory firm establishing a market-leading Private Client function across the North. Experiencing sustained client acquisition, they are seeking a technically proficient Personal Tax Senior (2–5 years' UK Practice experience) to manage compliance, identify planning opportunities, and assist with complex tax advisory projects.
The Opportunity
In this dynamic client-facing role, you will join a collaborative Private Client team delivering bespoke compliance and strategic tax advice to high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, trusts, and family businesses. Managing a personal tax compliance portfolio, you will serve as a primary client contact while gaining hands-on exposure to Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax (IHT), and estate planning assignments. Designed for an ambitious tax specialist, this position offers high operational autonomy, modern hybrid flexibility, and fully funded support to complete your CTA qualification.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Qualifications & Background: ATT Qualified, AAT Qualified, or CTA Part-Qualified / Student with 2 to 5 years’ UK accountancy practice experience specializing in personal and private client tax.

Tax Compliance & Reporting: Proven capability managing personal tax compliance obligations, preparing and reviewing complex Self-Assessment tax returns (SA100), and liaising directly with HMRC.

Advisory & Planning Exposure: Practical foundation or keen interest in Private Client advisory, including Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax (IHT), trusts, Income Tax planning, and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT).

Opportunity Identification: Commercial mindset with the ability to spot tax planning opportunities within compliance portfolios and support senior managers on advisory delivery.

Systems & Client Service: Strong working knowledge of tax software and cloud accounting systems, supported by excellent written and verbal client-facing communication skills.

Competitive Remuneration: £35,000 – £45,000 base salary per annum (commensurate with qualification status and tax advisory experience).
